In todays business, it seems that it becomes harder and harder to find time to pray. Yet, God’s Word tells us that we are to “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3.
Why is it that we, as Christian women sometimes go through our days without giving the Lord a thought, lift up any prayer of thanksgiving or offer up our cares to Him? Is it that we feel like unless we have the time to get away by ourselves in a place of total quiet, that we feel God will not hear our prayers? God, as our Heavenly Father would welcome any of our prayers, ask in earnest. Just as a parent, do our children have to wait till they get us alone to ask us for things that they desire? If they had to do that, chances are they would never ask us anything. We should consider God in the same way. He is thrilled when we come to him, driving in a car, drying our hair, standing at the stove. We don’t have to wait until we have 30 minute of alone time to pray and thank Him for all His goodness or lay our burdens at his feet. If you have 5 minutes, use it to praise Him for all His goodness to you.
Currently, I am taking a Bible Study by Priscilla Shirer, Armor of God. In it she states that “God will never convict unless He fully intends to empower”. That is our prayer that this Abundance Conference will convict our hearts and revival will begin. Prayer is what it will take to change hearts. A few weeks ago, our pastor, who is preaching on revival stated that “revival is living and seeking the purpose God intends for our lives.” We are praying that women who attend the Abundance Conference will not only grow in their relationship to the Lord, but that revival would begin in all of our hearts.
We are excited to tell you that every month, a group of women meet at the Dr. Pepper arena in Frisco on the 21st of the month. On the 22nd of each month, they are asking us, as women who are wanting to see a powerful movement of God, to fast from something of your normal day, whether it be missing a meal, sacrifice social media, television, etc. Whatever you feel would give you a little extra time to pray for the Abundance speakers, the women who will attend and God’s blessing on this event.
Please, if you do not already, follow this blog so you will be able to see the times of meeting each month on the 21st and read testimonies of women who are already praying and asking God to do a mighty work!
